Dua lipa is an English musician and singer born on August 22, 1995 at London United Kingdom. After a stint as a fashion model and songwriter, she decided to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. It climbed to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released and included Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at the number 6 spot on the charts in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. She is of Bosnian heritage through her maternal grandmother. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa learned to play the guitar and sing from her dad Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's band Oda. At the house, her father would play his original compositions, along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing when she was five years old. At the age of nine she started learning to sing. Lipa performed If I Ain't gone You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa was offered an recording deal by Warner Bros. Records in 2014. Her debut single New Love was released in August, 2015.
